2. Assign a Drive Letter
If you cannot view the files located in your SD card, it may be because no letter is assigned to the SD card, for which you won’t be able to view it in File Explorer. Here is how you can set a new letter to the SD card drive to recover deleted photos.
Step 1: Open the Start menu and search for Disk Management (you can also find it as “Create and format hard disk partitions”). Open it.
Step 2: You will see lots of volumes in the interface. Look for the SD card and right-click on it. A menu will pop up.
Step 3: Click on “Change Drive Letter and Paths.” A window will open up where you can change or assign a drive letter to the selected drive. Choose any letter and press OK.
