Creating an Attendance Report in Google Meet

1. Meet Attendance
If you are using any chromium-based browser, then this extension will easily run on it. Non-chromium browsers do not support this extension. There are different chromium browsers which include Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Vivaldi Browser, Opera GX, Comodo Dragon Browser, and more. Now, let us see how you can set up the Meet Attendance extension in your browser.
Step 1:
First, you need to simply open your Chrome browser and search ‘Chrome Web Store’. There, you can find options of themes and extensions you need for your meetings.
Step 2:
Second, As you have opened the Web Store. You will see many extensions appearing on your screen. Search for ‘Meet Attendance’ on the search bar.
Step 3:
Download this extension by clicking on ‘Add to chrome’ to add it to your browser.
Step 4:
After a successful download, you can find the small icon on your browser menu. You may also see it in your browser extensions tab.
Step 5:
Now, search ‘Google Meet’ on your browser. Host your regular meeting.
Step 6:
Wait for all the candidates. When everyone has already joined the meeting, the “Show Everyone” button should display the list of the attendees. This option will be appearing on the top right side of the screen.
Step 7:
There you will find the icon with the ‘tick mark’. Hover your mouse over the icon to show the options to create your attendance report. This includes ‘New Spreadsheet’, ‘Add Sheet’, ‘Attendance collection on or off the option’, ‘Auto Scroll’ through participants, ‘Emergency CSV Export’, and ‘Snapshot’ attendance report.
2. Google Meet Attendance Collector
Through Google Meet Attendance Collector, you can download a complete list of your present candidates. Just follow the below-mentioned steps.
Step 1:
You need to search for ‘Google Meet Attendance Collector’ on Chrome Web Store. Click ‘Add to Chrome’ and the extension should be added.
Step 2:
If you have successfully downloaded the extension, it will appear with the rest of your installed extensions.
Step 3:
Start your Google Meet meeting and click on the ‘Google Meet Attendance Collector’ extension. This will show you the attendance record.
Step 4:
This extension allows you to rescan your attendance. Also, you can download the attendance sheet after rescanning and save it as an Excel Sheet or a CSV. The extension also lets you monitor and take attendance at different time intervals.
Step 5:
The downloaded excel sheet will contain all the members’ list with time and date.
3. Google Meet Attendance
Google Meet Attendance is idle for teachers. They can easily download all the list of present students with the record of arrival time and how long they stayed in the meeting.
Step 1:
For downloading and installing, the steps are similar to previous extensions. Go to Web Store search for ‘Google Meet Attendance’ and click on the ‘Add to Chrome’ button.
Step 2:
After installing the extension, you will see a box appearing on your meeting screen. This will let you either to create a list of your attendees manually by typing in their display name, or automatically display their names.
Step 3:
After the completion of your meeting, all the present student’s records will appear in the clean HTML report. The report will tell you everything about the students when they joined your class, their staying time duration, how many times they got disconnected from the classes.
Now you know different extensions for creating attendance reports in Google Meet. If you are done with your online meetings or classes you can easily get rid of these extensions by just removing them from your browser. You can also disable them for the time being and enable them when needed.
