    Closed captioning or CC is one of the most helpful features in the ESPN Plus app. It helps you better understand what the people or characters you’re watching are saying, most especially when there is too much background noise or if you’re bad at hearing. But there are times when there are technical difficulties and CC tends to be late, or show you wrong transcriptions which is surely pretty annoying. In this article, we will share with you how to turn off CC on ESPN app.

    How to turn on subtitles on ESPN Plus app

    The steps on how to turn on subtitles on ESPN app are very easy. You can do it on the app itself, or your TV if it does not work.

    1. On the ESPN Plus app, go to “System”
    2. Select “Settings”
    3. Go to “Ease of Access”
    4. Click on “Closed Captioning”
    5. Toggle the setting on (or off if you don’t want subtitles)

    Turning subtitles off on your TV varies on the brand, make, and model of your TV. Just look for your TV brand and model below and follow the steps.

    Roku – Turn off CC on ESPN Plus app

    1. On your Roku TV remote, look for and press the home button
    2. Hover the arrow to “Settings” and select it
    3. Scroll through the options and select “Accessibility” or “Captions”
    4. Turn off captions

    Firestick – Turn off CC on ESPN Plus app

    1. Play any video on your Fire TV

    2. Look for and press the “Menu” button on your Firestick remote. It should be the button with three horizontal lines.

    3. Go to “Settings”

    4. Scroll through the options and select “Accessibility” and then, “Closed Captions”

    5. Select the option to turn off closed captioning

    Apple TV – Turn off CC on ESPN Plus app

    1. Launch the Main Menu on your Apple TV
    2. Select “Settings” which should be a gear icon
    3. Go to “General”
    4. Click on “Accessibility”
    5. Select the option to turn off CC

    Smart TV – Turn off CC on ESPN Plus app

    1. From the main screen, go to “Settings”
    2. Click on “Accessibility”
    3. Go to “Caption Settings”
    4. Select Caption to turn off closed captioning

    Samsung TV – Turn off CC on ESPN Plus app

    1. From the main menu, go to “Settings”
    2. Go to “General”
    3. Click on “Accessibility Menu”
    4. Select “Caption Settings” to turn off closed captioning
